Terms of Service

By accessing or using IvyScore ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Service.

IvyScore provides AI-powered college admissions analysis tools that help students evaluate the competitiveness of their college applications, understand their likelihood of admission to specific colleges, and receive actionable improvement recommendations. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate analyses based on information you provide. These analyses are estimates only and do not constitute professional educational counselling advice.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 should have a parent or guardian review these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@ivyscore.ai if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not create more than one free account. Attempting to circumvent plan limits by creating multiple accounts may result in all accounts being suspended.

You agree not to: • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms • Submit content that is false, misleading, or fraudulent • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service's AI capabilities • Use the Service to develop competing products without our written permission • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, payment requirements, or access controls • Upload malicious files or content designed to harm our systems or other users • Share your account credentials with others (Family plan allows multiple named users; account sharing is separate from this) We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

IvyScore's analyses are AI-generated estimates based on publicly available information about college admissions trends and the materials you provide. They are intended for informational and planning purposes only. We make no guarantee that: • Any score, percentage, or prediction reflects your actual likelihood of admission • The analysis accounts for all factors considered by admissions offices • Results from IvyScore will correlate with actual admission decisions Admission decisions are made by colleges based on many factors, including some that are not public or quantifiable. IvyScore is a planning tool, not a guarantee.

Free plan: Available at no cost subject to usage limits described on our Pricing page. Paid plans: Billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Annual plans are billed as a single charge for 12 months. Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods except where required by law. Refund policy: If you are not satisfied with the Service, contact support@ivyscore.ai within 7 days of your first charge for a full refund. After 7 days, refunds are not available except where required by applicable law. Price changes: We will give you at least 30 days' notice before changing subscription prices. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

The Service, including its design, code, content, and AI models (but not the materials you upload), is owned by IvyScore and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you upload (your essays, transcripts, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IvyScore shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or (b) $100.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IvyScore and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. On deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Sections 5 (Accuracy disclaimer), 7 (Intellectual property), 8 (Limitation of liability), and 9 (Indemnification) survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by posting the updated Terms with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
